Here are a few pictures from previous Wheels displays.
They are from events that were held at the old Eathorpe Park Hotel before
it was converted into flats a couple of years ago.
The display evening gives people
a chance to show off their vehicles. Visitors and exhibitors a like are free to wander
round amongst the vehicles and enjoy the canalside facilities at the Blue Lias.
A small award is made in the marquee at
approx 9:00pm to the favourites in each class, and a larger overall favourite trophy is
also awarded. Entry to the event is free, but donations towards the cost of awards and
in aid of The Warwickshire & Northamptonshire
Air Ambulance will be gratefully accepted on entry (we suggest £2 per vehicle). The first
£30 will go towards awards and the rest to WNAA.
If you have an interesting vehicle of any sort that you think other people would
like to see then please bring it to the next Wheels display. Use the buttons below
to register and obtain a entry number before you come to save
time on the night.
We ask that everyone who wishes to attend registers prior to the event and joins the mailing list
in case there are any last minute changes, eg. like when the field was flooded in 2007 and we
had to postpone the event the night before. You dont have to provide an address if you dont want to
but we ask that you do provide details of your vehicle, the class you want to enter, your name and a
contact email and phone number so we can contact you if you win a prize.
The 2009 event will be held on WEDNESDAY 17th June (

at the Blue Lias public house, between Long Itchington
and Stockton. The following Multimap link will show you
the location (actually its the PH just to left of indicated position).
For safety reasons with the humpback canal bridge near the pub please approach from the
Stockton end of the lane, but take care at the crossroads on the A426. Park in the field
immediately on the LHS as you enter from the lane.
This year, due to the reduced numbers voting and attending the awards presentations in the marquee, only
the CWMC committee will be voting for favourite vehicles, but if there is sufficient demand for general voting to be
reinstated together with volunteers to help run the event this may be reversed for future events. Hopefully the change
this year will enable
class winners to be identified more quickly (a notice will be placed on the relevant vehicles
inviting the owner to attend the awards presentation).
